Our Approach to Pricing
At William & Henry, every floor is custom-crafted to your home or commercial project, your design, and your lifestyle. Because no two projects are alike, pricing is determined by several key factors. Below is a simple overview of what drives cost, how we build your quote, and what’s included in every project.
What Drives Cost?
Wood Type
Different species vary in how we source trees, availability, and rarity.
Board Widths
Wider planks will typically have a higher price point than narrower ones. And you’ll pay more for uniform widths than for a variety of widths or width ranges.
Grade & Character
Clear wood (no knots, little to no color variation) versus character-grade wood (with natural character, color variation, and knots).
Finish
Hand-finished floors require special labor and materials, which you will pay more for than unfinished boards that will be finished onsite.
Construction
Solid wood floors will be priced differently than engineered options.
How We Build Your Quote
- Start with your preferred wood type and style.
- Select the width, grade, and finish that fit your project.
- Determine the best construction method (solid or engineered).
- Account for installation specifics and any site conditions that affect material needs.
- Combine these elements into a customized quote, tailored to your project and goals.
